EPOS system for
Indian takeaways.
An Indian takeaway menu lives on choices: spice level, bread, rice, sides and extras on nearly every dish, plus a delivery round that depends on postcode. Manto Till and the Manto Order website handle all of it, with the same prices on the till and online, and zero commission on direct orders.
Spice, bread and a side, without the phone call
On a curry menu the dish is the easy part. It is the spice level, the naan, the rice and the side that cause the mistakes and the callbacks. A required choice on the online menu cannot be skipped, so the kitchen never has to ring the customer back.
Required and optional choices
Set spice, bread and sides as required or optional, priced as the customer taps.
Meal-deal builder
A banquet or a two-person deal is built step by step, at the counter and online.
One set of prices
The website cannot disagree with the till, because they read the same menu.
Allergens on the dish
All fourteen allergens are shown to customers and on the kitchen screen.
Delivery is where an Indian takeaway earns or loses its night
Delivery zones can be set by postcode, by distance or by named area, each with its own fee and minimum order, and there is a tool to test an address. Orders move through new, accepted, cooking, ready and out for delivery, and the customer sees the stage on her tracker.
A busy-mode switch adds ten, twenty or thirty minutes to every quote when the kitchen is slammed, and clears itself, so the promise to the customer stays honest.
A kitchen screen for the pass
Tickets arrive on a kitchen display system, timed against the promise made to the customer, with stations so the tandoor and the grill each see their own items. A bump on the screen tells the till, and the order board can call the number for collection.
Customers who come back, and who are yours
Every online order carries the customer's name, number and history. Loyalty is credit back in pounds, set by the shop, earned online and spent at the counter. You control the data, and the list leaves with you if you ever leave.
